Founding Father
Shri D. R. Patel was born in Visatpura village, situated in Kadi, in the Mehsana District, in a simple farming family. His father, Param Bhakt Ramjibha was a firm believer in Swaminarayan teachings and a hard-working farmer. Shri Patel was trained since childhood to be simple, work hard and benefit others.
Shri Patel started his education at the local school in Visatpura. He was an intelligent student and proceeded to study in Mehsana. After finishing the SSC in Sarva Vidyalaya, Kadi, he got his B.E. Degree in Mechanical Engineering in Vallabh Vidyanagar.
His first workplace was Jyoti Ltd., Vadodara where he worked in the research and development of electrical products for 8 years. This experience helped him understand the electrical industry, and this is when he dreamed of creating something of his own.

He was also instrumental in popularising the epoxy resin as an insulating material, that was being used in electrical products.
A Leader Who Stayed Humble
Shri D. R. Patel was not merely a businessperson; he was also an engaging leader who felt that nothing is successful without being humble. He led a simple life, never spoke harshly to anyone, and remained true to his origins despite his success.Shri D. R. Patel never put money over people and never gave fame much more importance than his cause. His name became a representation of decency, generosity and serving the society.

Giving Back to Society
Pujya Bapuji used to think that helping others will be the real success. He devoted his life to serving the society besides developing a successful business. He provided employment, especially to his local citizens.
He also started and sponsored numerous welfare schemes in communities, temples, schools and families in need. All his moves were motivated by his values of humility, hard work, devotion and love towards everyone.
Shri D. R. Patel is not among us anymore but his light remains bright. Even today, his life is an inspiration to entrepreneurs, social workers and leaders in the communities.
We honour his noble journey and pay our deepest respects to Smt. Madhuben and the entire family, who continue to carry forward his values and vision.
